Whenever I try to play videos online, they freeze. I don't currently have a flash player, although YouTube videos seem to work reasonably well. I watch movies and tv shows online, and I can never finish them because they freeze after about 5 minutes!!

At this time there is no flash alternative. I suggest removing flash and downloading the latest version and reinstalling.
The other thing could be using a different browser like firefox or if you are using firefox.
Adobe makes the official flash player. It's free.
