I have lost mine and have an indoor newborn nursery shoot on Saturday morning. I dont live near any camera stores and can not get to one before Saturday. Go to a fabric store and buy some white rip stop nylon, then go to the hardware store and buy pvc piping and connectors for the size of the diffuser that you want. Connect the rip stop nylon to the framework you made with the pvc piping, and you have a great homemade diffuser.

You might have to use a bit of tape to keep it on, depending on the bottle and flash. Depending on how the walls and ceiling are, you might just bounce with no diffuser.
In this sort of photoshoot I would recommend bounce flash. Point the flash head at the ceiling and let the light fall on the subject.If you have a white ceiling in your home you can try this with someone.
A quick note about diffusers --%26gt; A piece of wax paper taped directly to the flash head won't work it will only cut down on the amount of flash emitting out of the flash head. To get a diffuser to work properly it needs to be placed out in front, off of the flash head. The light emitting out of the flash then hits the diffusing material and is softened by it. Is it safe to use flash frozen halibut for a ceviche recipe?
I live in Alaska and deep sea fish every summer. This has left me with a ton of Halibut hanging out in my freezer. I want to make a yummy ceviche dish, however I don't know if using frozen ( flash frozen within hours of catching and then vacuum packed) fish is a good idea. The minimum you need for this is 140 degrees. I know people like to eat raw fish like Sushi for example, but they also take on the risk of getting sick! At least your smart enough to ask ahead of time unlike other people who think they already know everything and do what they do. It's a choice you'll have to make on your own, but if it were me( Chef for 8yrs) I would heat it up to 140 degrees or more and enjoy my nice fine Halibut steak dinner and not have to worry about getting sick or making someone else sick!Is it safe to use flash frozen halibut for a ceviche recipe?

How come NHL arenas will flash strobe lights from the rafters during the game?
I've frequently been to the Shark's arena, but also visited Joe Louis, Honda Center, Staples Center, and United Airlines Center. And during the game they will flash strobe lights, not for a long time, just 2-3 times every couple of minutes. It seems to happen only when the puck is in play though. You are even able to see this by watching games on tv. Although it's easier to see in HD. You need more than just one flash, even with something like the SB-900. Maybe 3 SB-900's, but not just one.

Sounds like even though your animation software may be able to export files in the .swf format (Flash produces this file type also), it probably isn't capable of some of the things you'll need access to for interactivity, namely the editing of Actionscript. There are other alternatives to Flash and Actionscript, such as Flex, but ultimately they're just as challenging to master. Your best option is a trial run of Adobe Flash (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/), just to see if you like it. You don't necessarily need Flash to create interactive content in the .swf format, but it's a great place to start. How do I use my flash drive to get a game onto the school computer?
My school doesn't let us download games onto their computers, but If I have a flash drive, how can I get the game from my desktop at home to work on the school computer? Is it as simple as just clicking and dragging? I've definitely seen people playing games from their flash drives. Why does my digital camera flash several times before taking the picture?
It is a Sony Super Steady Shot 6.0 mega pixels with 12x zoom. When I go to take someones picture I focus in and the light to the flash comes on, like it is getting ready, but then when I push the button it flashes several times before actually snapping the picture. That problem where people's eyes are all red is caused by the camera's light reflecting off the back side of their eyes. That always happens with small cameras where the flash is physically located close to the lens. On larger cameras or ones with better designs, the flash is as far away from the lens as possible. This prevents Red Eye also.
Your camera flash is currently set to use the red eye reduction flash mode. It sends a series of quick flashes to cause pupils to constrict and reduce the chances of a bad photo. Check your flash mode and you will be able to set it to a normal mode if that is what you prefer.

We have had an HP Photosmart 315 digital camera for almost 7 years now. While it is not high tech quality it has always worked well for us. Recently the flash has stopped working. I was walking out of a room and saw like a flash of blue. I'm definitely planning to call an electrician, but just wondered what caused it. I presently use a JTL S-25M slave strobe with my Fujifilm S5000 digital camera as they are cheap and work well. When I am at graduations and other functions other cameras flash send of my slave at the wrong time. This is a big problem. I would say that when you are talking about people, a well lit photo is generally better than a poorly lit photo (unless that is the look you are going for). It doesn't need to be flash, it could be diffused sunlight through a curtain, or you standing next to a white wall and the sun reflecting soft light on your face.
Except for when shooting in low light, situations, on-camera flash is the worst lighting to use. Natural lighting or what is sometimes called ambiant light, is always a photographers first choice.
External flash is best used when shooting events (like weddings) or in the studio when multiple flash heads can be used.

How can I flash the bios to my old dell pc to overclock?
