I have tried many times to learn flash, and people keep telling me to do these tutorials, though try as I might, I cannot sit through. Either I have a really low patience tolerance, or these tutorials are just the driest thing I think I have ever had to read.
';click the circle tool';
';create a circle in the stage';
';click the arrow tool';
';select the circle';
';right click the circle';
I mean, I would like a response from someone who has learned and actually USED flash. Did you actually sit through these tutorials? How did you learn it?What is the easiest way to learn flash?
1-First read the theory part
2-Be next to ur PC
3-Do the example as u read it
4-At the end of each unit of the book , try to make a comprehensive application using what u learnedWhat is the easiest way to learn flash?
I read a book. It was easy once you see how they have it setup. I recommend starting with CS3 if you're planning to do AS. AS3 is way more organized than AS2 and prior.

What is a cheep and affective camera flash ?
I need to keep with in a budget of 200 dollars. What i need is an affective camera flash that is not smarter then my camera. I need to buy a camera flash and an off camera flash cord for the hot shoe. Im working with an XTI
Any brands some one can suggest or where to start looking?What is a cheep and affective camera flash ?
If you are using the flash for indirect light (not point the flash directly at the subject, or using a diffuser for softer light), you can use a non-Canon flash.
You might not be able to plug it directly into the camera though, and have to use off-camera triggers.
You can find inexpensive flashes ($30-50) and inexpensive triggers ($8-15) here:

Yeah I'd go with a more basic manual flash to start with...then graduate to something more expensive later. Make sure that the flash is ';canon-safe';, as some flash units will fry your camera.
Bower has a nice hotshoe flash for around $50, I use it and it works ok if your just doing it as a hobby. If you were doing it as a source of income though I would recommend you take a look at BHphotovideo.com
You may be able to find the older 430ex used for under 200. Its a fantastic flash and the head swivels like a pro flash unit.

What is the most secure kind of flash drive to use?
I am asking what is considered the most highly advanced usb flash drive that would prevent someone from stealing data from it, whether it be protected by passwords, encryption, or whatever and what about the ones that are ';rugged'; or waterproof. Which flash drives fits this description?
(Also about how many pages of document would 8gb hold?)
Thanks !What is the most secure kind of flash drive to use?
Well, your best option for security would be one of the biometric flash drives that use your fingerprint to unlock data.
The Sandisk crusers are starting to come out with these.
But generally these are not rugged or waterproof.
You are going to have to wait a while for one that is both biometric and waterproof/rugged. Either that or you will have to pay BIIIG bucks.What is the most secure kind of flash drive to use?
8gb ... about a million ... none of them are very rugged ... and u can encrypt or password files with software ... check out snapfiles for apps like that ..

How dangerous is the capacitor from a flash camera?
I want to use the flash circuit to make a coil gun, but how dangerous is it? What will happen if I get shocled? Will it just hurt or will I die?How dangerous is the capacitor from a flash camera?
Usually those capacitors are in the neighborhood of 100 microFarads, at 450 volts. That means they store about 10 Joules of energy. Your dry skin resistance can be anywhere from 5000 to 100,000 Ohms. In the worst-case (5000 Ohms) that means that capactor can completely discharge on your fingers 2.5 seconds. 10 Joules in 2.5 seconds is 4 Watts -- not much power, not much energy. You'll certainly feel a little jolt (from 450 volts) if you touch the leads with a bare finger, but it shouldn't do any harm.
As a point of reference, a heart-difibrullator jump starts the heart with 200 to 400 Joules of energy, with wet electrodes, directly across the heart.
But, as a pure safety precaution: Just don't grab the 2 capacitor leads with 2 separate hands. Keep one hand in your pocket when you handle a charged capacitor.

I have been shocked by the capacitor in my digital camera. Happened when I was taking it apart. Im still alive.
